Janet's Favorite Figure Skating Programs

These are all my favorite skating programs. For me to consider a program a favorite, I have to watch it at least three times. As I watch more skating, I'll probably add more videos to this list, so keep checking it out.

Questions? Comments? Do you love these programs or hate them? Let me know. I'm always more than happy to have a discussion on the topic of skating.

Men's Singles

My absolute favorite men's free ever. To me this is an ideal program: excellent music, stunning costume, and flawless choreography.

Easily my second favorite free skate of all time. Seimei is the most complete program I've ever watched, and both versions (2015/16 and 2017/18) are masterpieces.

The best exhibition ever. The level of detail and thought that went into this program, from the beautiful figures and transitions to the breathtaking delayed axel, is unbelievable.

A delightful program that showcases Javi's acting well. It's charming, complete, and feels more like an exhibition than a comp program in all the best ways.

A work of art on ice. Dai's skating skills are absolutely phenomenal.

Another prime example of flawless skating skills. Patricks edges are so deep and his lines are so clean that you can't help but be transported by the fluidity of his skating.

The wildly underscored program from Johnny Weir. I love Johnny's skating, especially this. It was one of the first comp programs I fell in love with.

The first comp program I watched. I was blown away by Johnny's beautiful skating, and I still am. I first watched this over a year ago and it has a special place in my heart.

The one good program from Johnny in Torino. I always loved The Swan, even if some people didn't like the fact that he named the beak glove "Camille" after Camille San Saens, from whom the music came.

The earliest program I've seen and loved from Johnny. Dr. Zhivago is a charming program that makes me almost miss the old scoring system. Almost.

My favorite coach in my favorite old short program. I adore Brian, and he's stunning in this program. I couldn't ask for more in a skate.

The program that got me into skating. I don't like Lady Gaga that much, but I could watch Johnny's Poker Face all day. Everything about it is so wonderful, and I find it hard to believe that this was the first real program, even if it is an exhibition, I watched.
