A Big Medley

Hello friends, I welcome you to A Big Medley.  Have a seat and enjoy the fun!
Music:  My three favorite bands and musicians at the moment are The Decemberists, Toad the Wet Sprocket and Glen Phillips (of course).  I'm really stuck on The Hazards of Love.  I don't know why, I just am.  My new favorite Toad song is Crowing.  I've been listening to it since I was like, five, but just recently I started really liking it.  I think my favorite album is Fear, but it might be Dulcinea.  I did a little star count and they both came out with 54.  Now for Glen Phillips albums, I've always loved Winter Pays for Summer.  Of course, I like Mr. Lemons a lot, too.  My favorite Glen Phillips song is Waiting.  I think.  Maybe it's Have a Little Fun With Me.  Oh, in Duck and Cover, Glen Phillips mentions the album's name (Winter Pays for Summer)*.  Ooh... I've got Blood Pressurize stuck in my head.  And True.
Toby Monk:  He's the sweetest little guy.  I wish I had gotten a picture of him and said, "Parting is such sweet sorrow".  But I didn't.  Anyway, you're probably wondering who Toby Monk is.  Well, I should probably tell you.  He's the chipmunk I saved from Mr. Bubbles and Rosey.  I named him after Toby Williams and Adrian Monk.  Two fictional characters.
Monk Quotes:  Over the months, I've made a list of Monk quotes.  Now I would like to share them with you.
Well he was stabbed in the aorta.  He was gone before he hit the ground.
~ The Coroner, Mr. Monk Goes to the Carnival
I can't believe you're not the craziest man in the room...
~ Sharona, Mr. Monk and the Twelfth Man
There he is! The greatest detective in San Francisco.
~ Sharona, Mr. Monk and the TV Star
Chews or pees on... chews or pees on...
~ Monk, Mr. Monk and the Panic Room
Dog lick hand!
~ Monk, Mr. Monk and the Dog
Adrian, you are more than the love of my life, you are my life.
~ Trudy, Mr. Monk and the End Part II (I think.  Might be part I)
Take care of her.
~ Ethan Rickover, Mr. Monk and the End part II
And my favorite...
Speedy dates, no!  No, no, no... that's like Dante's seventh circle of Hell!  ♥
~Monk, Mr. Monk Goes to the Theater

Thank you for being so patient and reading this far, and I'll be back tomorrow with some Saraness!  Oh, and excuse all mistakes please.

* One way or another, the winter pays for the summer

Names - the Ultimate Battle

First, we'll start off with my two favorite names for girls (with middle names), then my two favorite names for boys (with middle names).  Katherine Rose and Philomena Clare are the two names I picked out for girls.  Maximilian Xavier and Benedict Ian are the two names I picked out for boys.  You can judge me by the names I like, by the way.  Oh, and don't forget, please tell me what you think of those names.
Now Let's create lists of names.  I'll make a list of ten names I like for each gender, and then a list of ten names I don't like for each gender.

Girls:                                                                    Boys:

Note:  These are not in order                                Well... I knew I just had to put

Girls:
Faith
Hope
Lara
Nevaeh (Heaven backwards...
               that's just creepy!)
Nancy
Hmm... I can't think of any
more right now.  Sorry!

Now, if you really, really, really care, you can comment on my blog or send me a message on Facebook with a name.  That way, you can just ask me if I like it or not, and I'll give you my honest opinion.  Honest opinion.  Also, I would like my baby names book back, Margaret and Matthew.  You'd better have it when you come back!  If it is torn, stained or damaged in any other way, you're never going to hear the end of it!  Oh, and all the asterisks are for the Rainbowland names.  I only pick ones I really like, you know.
Farewell, my friends.  As usual, excuse any mistakes whatsoever.

Music - the Finest Art

Today, we'll discuss music.  Right now I'm listening to Blindsight, by Glen Phillips.  It's on his album Mr. Lemons.  Hey, would you believe it?  My new favorite song is not by Glen Phillips!  It's actually by The Decemberists.  It's from their crazy album The Hazards of Love.  For anyone who is not familiar with that album, it's a whole story that actually makes sense.  It's very hard to describe, so I recommend listening to it.  The total length is 58:36, so you need an hour of free time.  Back to my new favorite song now.  It's called The Wanting Comes in Waves (Reprise).  It truly is a lovely song.  Sadly though, it's only 1:31, but it has its reasons.  At Confused People, you really have to listen to it to understand it.  Or you can just read the Wikipedia article (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Hazards_of_Love).  Also, I've been listening to a lot of Aimee Mann lately.  I really like her album The Forgotten Arm.  I don't have it on my iPod touch, but I can just go on Spotify whenever I feel like listening to it.
Well, back to editing my book.  Ah, the pains of being an author.  But let's not talk about Book Friend (I have a lot of names for that book).  How about we talk about names (tomorrow)?  He he... this ought to be fun!  For those of you who don't know, I'll tell you my four favorite names.
Oh, and this has no paragraphs because, well, I'm sick of paragraphs.  Try writing a book with paragraphs, then writing in a blog with paragraphs.  There are two paragraphs in this.  But those were natural, so there - I get off inserting paragraphs!

Lightning Sara - Prodigy Turtle

I love my three toed.  You all know that.  But, thanks to Chris and Kari, I'm now going to train her to become just like Alex.
Yesterday, I went onto Hulu Plus and watched "How Smart Are Animals?"(Chris told me to), and I realized that if Alex had thirty whole years of experimentation, why not start working on a turtle?
I haven't actually gone to college, so I can't really get a grant, but I'll just keep on working till I graduate.  Sara's only thirteen, she's still young.
We've made a lot of progress.  she's been bumping windows, not falling off couches and many other things.  I'll keep you posted every week on how we're doing.  My goal is to train this turtle eight to twelve hours a day for thirty years, and then we'll know who's smarter - Alex or Lightning.  Who do you think is going to win?  Alex may be dead, but he's still got quite a following.  Sara on the other hand, is a small town turtle with no public, except maybe the followers in my blog.

A Third Little Medley

Again I bring you yet another medley.  It's just like the other two, except maybe about different things.  But that would make sense, would it not?
I'm still wearing my sunglasses everywhere, though I thought of a few more places I can't.  I can't wear them to bed or in any church.  I'm sure there are many other places, but I'm not going to rack my brain.  It's trying to relax.
Guess what?  Xavier Becket, the new Master of the Black Riders, has gone into battle with the soldiers.  You can read all about it in my book when it comes out.
I hate Community.  They stole my idea!  My Black Riders wear all black and ride black horses.  Their Black Rider (and they only have one!) isn't wearing all black and has nothing to ride.  Verdict:  I think my Black Riders fit the title much better.  Therefore, the name "Black Rider" is all mine.  Besides, my Black Riders have real swords and guns and knives and daggers, not to mention bows and poisons and traps.  Their Black Rider just has some awesome paintball guns.
Well, I should be going now.  I've got a breakfast to eat and papers to grade.

Chromatic!
More sunglasses.

A compilation of My Thoughts

Today I'm blogging about my thoughts.  It'll include words, animals, the outdoors and many more topics.
About words...I've been thinking about some different words.  'Yearn,' for instance.  I hate that word!  In fact, my least favorite letter is 'y,' and putting it with 'earn' doesn't help it any.  It's my least favorite word, and I have a lot of words I hate.
Of course, not all words are bad.  'Lush' and 'crisp' are two of my favorite words.  I don't know why, I just like them.
Then there are juicy words.  By juicy words, I mean words like 'reciprocate,' or 'controversy.'  Those were actually just the two words that came to head right then.  Still, they're juicy.
Now, you'll get my very strictured opinion about different animals.  You know, animals like ferrets, capybaras, armadillos, turtles and dogs.
Ferrets.  Just the very mentioning of them makes me want to kill the slinky, conning weasels.  Well, maybe not kill them.  I just don't like the little beasts.  There's something about them...Something that they hide from humans...
I love capybaras.  I love the enlarged guinea pig-ish creatures, especially since they're the biggest rodent in the world.  Their cute, flat noses, their adorable legs, they're just so loveable!  Although they do bite.  But so do guinea pigs.  But capybaras require lots of water and plenty of outdoor space.  But guinea pigs have to have their cages cleaned and their food and water replaced often, too.  Okay, you win, I give up.  He he...Amazing how I can argue with myself, isn't it?
Armadillos!  Hooray for those armored, rolly-polly creatures!  Aw, they're so cute.  In my opinion, they actually tie with capybaras.
Turtles are amazing.  If God could, I would say he messed up on those awkward things.  They're definitely one of my favorite animals, and that's saying a lot!  You see, it goes horses, dogs and then turtles.  They maintain a strong third on my list.
And then there are dogs.  Definitely number two on my favorites list, these friendly beasts are so amazing!  They're loyal, faithful, endearing, loveable, any good word and it's match!
Now for the outdoors.  Beautiful and fantastic, anywhere outside is my favorite place to be.  You've got trees, dirt, grass, sky and so many other different things, dead and alive.  I just love the outdoors!
So, I was going to write about many other topics, but this post is getting so long I'm dreading proofreading it.  It now must come to a conclusion, but, before it does, I would like to write about one more thing (oh boy, this was inspired!).
Beyond this world lies another land.  It's a beautiful land, yet there is still lots of conflict.  You guessed it, Rainbowland.  Daisy and all her friends live there.  Let us salute the best of them now.
To Daisy, the finest, best woman in the whole world.
To Kayla, a fine young lady with a very big heart.
To Ian, a great doctor, father and husband.
To Edward, a wonderful young man.
To Seth, the best brother ever.
To Benedict, a fine doctor and friend.
And to Toby, the male version of Daisy, and let's not forget, my favorite (next to Daisy, of course)!
Goodbye, my friends.  I must go out and live my life, however painful it may be.  Tomorrow, when I write in my blog again, I shall find the comfort that everyone seeks, yet few find.
Well, bye for now.  I'll write tomorrow!
Oh, and it was very difficult proofreading this, so please excuse any mistakes.

The Beautiful World of Rainbowland

Today I'll be writing about the land itself.  I've already covered the most important people in Rainbowland, so it's time to move on.
Cedar Ridge Hospital is located in the big countryside of Land Of Adventure (LOA).  The biggest place in all of Rainbowland, LOA lives up to it's name.  That's where Daisy and her friends have most of their adventures.  It's also home to the Black Riders.
Next up is the most beautiful piece of land in Rainbowland.  Rose Hills is like Beverly Hills, but more country-ish.  Rose Hills is a lot more civilized that LOA, and it's where Daisy and Seth's parents live, along with Kayla's parents.
Last of all is Kingsland, a beautiful city.  As you've probably guessed, the King lives there.  Daisy hardly ever goes to Kingsland, but hardly any crimes are committed there.  The King usually has things under control, so that's another reason.
Tomorrow, I'll tell you about a frightening place in the heart of LOA, the fortress of the Black Riders and...let me see...oh yes!  And of course, Cedar Ridge Hospital!
Until tomorrow!
