Camp!

I'm going to Hamilton Monday!  I'm taking the bus from St. Joseph's Church in Chehalis with my friend Emily Wills.  It's going to be wonderful.
I'm hoping to get a little better at archery.  I first discovered my love for archery last year at Bosco.  I was pretty nervous at first, and I only got four arrows, so I didn't really have a chance to loosen up and have a lot of fun, although I was the only one who didn't need an arm guard.  I felt pretty special.
Unlike Bosco, Hamilton has a lake.  Lake versus pool... hmm... which is better?  It's going to be so nice to have a lake.  I really hope it's hot, but not too hot.  The pool at Don Bosco... oh, and the girls' poolroom there - ick!  That brings back bad memories.  The toilets were always getting clogged and it had horrible drainage, poor squeegee.  And then the changing rooms/bathrooms!  Picture it in your mind:  A toilet, a plunger, a backpack and a tweenager (or a younger girl) in a closet sized room.  No, not a walk-in closet, just a closet.  You set your backpack down, you struggle to take your clothes off and put them in your backpack, you change into your swimsuit, you put your shoes back on and you're done!  Now that wasn't so hard, was it?  Try really doing it.
Enough of my rambling about the nightmarish poolroom.  I've poured out all my thoughts about camp, and now I'm ready to finish this post, so I'll blog again tomorrow (probably).

A Little Medley

Hello, how are you all?  I'm well, but I could use a nice splash in the pool.  Well, on with the medley.
I've been thinking about it, and the only things that go bump in the night in my room are possessed tarantulas, impish bearded dragons and disturbed turtles.  I don't have any ghoulies and ghosties and long-leggedy beasties, but my pets make up for it.
Ugh... that girl... she can make a conversation out of a prayer!  I'll bet she could talk about Rainbowland for hours.  Speaking of which... did you know that Daisy's stepfather's fiftieth birthday is on Saturday?  Everyone is coming.  Also, you probably didn't know that Ian has a brother.  His name is Glen.  No, he's not named after Glen Phillips, I just happen to like the name Glen.
My blog posts have been rather short lately.  I do hope they're not dull!
Little side note:  I didn't really feel like correcting this, so there might be several mistakes.

Rainbowland

As you all know, there are Black Riders in Rainbowland, especially in the LOA woods.  For some reason I like Black Riders.  They're not good, they're not friendly, I just like them.  Of course, if every Black Rider is tall and handsome, that's a good reason.  Well, you have to expect that from someone my age.  And besides, Benedict's not handsome, just mildly good-looking.  All right, handsome.  But that's not the point.  I was talking about Black Riders.  Not that I ever stopped... anyway, Black Riders are good to play with, meddle with, all sorts of fun things.  My goodness, I sound a bit cruel.  The truth is, I'm very cruel.  I make my characters suffer.  Deuce is also a lot of fun to play with.  Fortunately, I've formed his character quite well.  He likes to go "Black Rider Hunting," which means I get to bring in a Black Rider, which means stupid Deuce usually ends up harming both of them.  Life is good.
As a little bonus, I'm throwing in my three most recent Photo Booth photos.

I'm not really picking my nose.  Also, that shiny stuff on my
chin is saliva.  It certainly does add to the photo, doesn't it?
The three writing faces of Janet:  Archaic, humorous, eccentric.
Just more Pop Art fun.

American Girl!

I'll say this first - it was exciting!  It really was a lot of fun.  In my post before, I showed what I wanted. I had actually decided to ask for the Sweet Sugar Outfit for Christmas.  It's more of a wintry outfit with the sweater and all.  But I did get the Cozy Plaid Outfit and the True Style Outfit.  I love both of those, and they're even better in person.  It's nice to go to an AG store so you can see the outfits and accessories and dolls up close.  You know, see the scale, the quality, the true look.  That was really nice.  I also got the Sporty Sandals.  I wanted those, but I forgot to put them with the other outfits in my blog post.  They're very realistic and go nice with the Hiking Accessories witch are adorable, by the way.  As a bonus from my sweet parents, they got me the Star Hoodie Outfit.  It used to come with the Just Like You Dolls (My American Girl Dolls), but they change outfits every year or something.  At first I wasn't sure about it, but it's really cute.  It was only sixteen dollars, too.  That's because we got over fifty dollars.  One of those bargain things.  Oh, and I got the sleepover accessories which are cute and quite fun.  Apples to Apples with my dolls now!  *Gasp* And I got the DOLPHIN BOOK!  Well, I got the school backpack which I'm rather pleased with.  Naturally, it came with the science book with the dolphins on the cover.  It's an animal science book with dolphins and probably turtles.
Well, I've rambled on enough in that single long paragraph, so I'll quit the boring doll clothes and accessories and go on to the store itself.  Awesome store.  There was a guard at the inside of the door.  He was kind of boring though.  Just a plump, unattractive oriental guard.  He never smiled, either.  I think if I had a uniform like his, I'd be smiling.  Our cashier was nice.  I liked her.  Oh, and the pictures of the doll hair stylists online weren't exaggerated at all.  Seriously, they smiled and talked to the doll's "mother" while they did the doll's hair.  It was interesting.  And then there was another cashier who totally awesome.  She had jet black hair and red lipstick and this accent.  I still can't place the accent.  She took our picture by Josefina with all her outfits and complimented us.  She was really friendly and cool.  Actually, the whole store was cool!
Finished!  Yes, I'm finally finished.  Thank you for being so patient.  I corrected this, but I'm still in "OoOh, Alderwood" mode.  What's that mean?  It means I'm still in a bit of a daze.  All that fast food probably didn't help.  Well, bye.
Star Hoodie Outfit.
Sporty Sandals.

American Girl Store

As you know, I'm thirteen.  Which means I had a birthday, so I got and am getting presents.  My birthday present from Mommy and Daddy is a trip to the American Girl Place.  They're also buying me (AG) clothes.  I'm now going to show you what products of theirs I like and can afford.  Actually, I could afford anything they have, but you know what I mean.
Dolphins!  What more is there to say?
Sleepover Accessories.
Cozy Plaid Outfit.
Sweet Sugar Outfit.  I have the Sugar dog.
True Style Outfit.
Well, that was... exciting.  I do hope you check out one of the links, especially the dolphin one.  The picture and caption aren't as accurate as they could be.
If you'll excuse me, I've got jpegs to delete off my desktop.  Then of course there's the virtual trash that needs emptying.  I'll be sure to write about my trip tomorrow!

Birthdays! Part Two

Before we talk about me (ME.  I'm just kidding, it's going to be as humble as I think fit), we'll talk about someone very special.  It's not Sara, her birthday post is on her blog (that's your cue to visit the site), it's not Bobby, his birthday isn't July eighteenth.  Rocky's birthday isn't even in July, so it's not him.  We know it's not Scarlet or Pinkie's birthday, as I just got those two in spring.  It's probably not Henna... so... you guessed it - Rosey!  So here's a paragraph dedicated to her:
Oh darling, you know how much I love you.  I have every reason to, because for two whole years you've been at my side (almost) wherever I go.  I wish I could say the same for me, but I cannot.  Thank you for being so wonderful Rosey, and here's your song:
Happy birthday to you!
Happy birthday to you!
Happy birthday dear Rosey!  ♥
Happy birthday to you!
Now for me, Janet!  By age I'm a teenager.  By mind I'm still and always will be that fantasizing, Toby-struck* Rainbowlander.  By heart I'm still the little girl who played old Rainbowland in Daddy's bed, who watched Patrick pretend to be a clown on the ropeswing, who played horses with the best brother ever one morning before breakfast (that was in the old mobile home), who learned to swing with the boy who was so little back then, who fell asleep scratching Mother's arm and nursing.  Now that's a real timeline.  I was older when I played ropeswing and Rainbowland, younger when I played horses that morning with Patrick and youngest when I learned how to swing and scratched Mother's arm at night.
Thank you for reading this!  I got a bit out of control for a bit there, but need to store those memories somewhere anyway, not that I'll ever forget them.  They're too embedded in my mind.
Well, thanks for all the birthday wishes on Facebook and thanks in advance for those to come.  Until tomorrow!
*I'm in love with Toby Williams (along with Ian, Seth, Benedict, all the others).  Who wouldn't be?  He's incredibly handsome, he has an adventure-FILLED background, he's kind, he smart, he's funny, he's skilled in almost any subject, he's young and he's not real.  If he was, he'd be the most eligible bachelor in the world.
Valete!

Birthdays! Part One

Guess what today is?  The seventeenth.  Guess what tomorrow is?  The eighteenth.  The eighteenth of July... July eighteenth, 1999!  Yay!  Wait, no, no... 2012 minus 1999 equals thirteen!  Oh well.  I've always been old at mind and I'll always be young at heart.  It all balances out.
My birthday party is tomorrow.  Makes sense, considering the party is on my actual birthday.  We're preparing for it today.  We kind of started yesterday by making up the bags of stuff.
Before I go, I would like to drop a little hint about my dream birthday gift.  it's alive, it's really big, it lives in water, it's smart, it's cute, it's friendly and it loves to do tricks.  The first part of its name starts with bottlenose.  Well, like I said, it's my dream birthday present.  I'm allowed to have my dreams...

For some reason I found myself typing that into google search.
